Copaci has a wide range of body lotions and creams. Knowing which cream to use for your skin type can be confusing. Here we explain about the types of skin which exist and which products will meet the needs of your skin.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology there are five main skin types:
African skin is different to caucasian skin, it has a thicker dermis and contains more collagen, elastin and melanin. It produces more sebum which can lead to blocked or clogged pores if it is not managed well. Despite African skin having higher sebum, it can still be prone to dryness because of the harsh weather conditions. African skin often suffers from hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.
People with oily skin should look for products with more astringent ingredients – for example lemon. Those with dry skin need deeper moisturisation and oil, which is why ingredients like shea butter and sweet almond oil can be very helpful. Normal skin does not need such heavy moisturisation, a general use product like Camee family is sufficient to keep the skin fresh and healthy. Combination skin requires a two pronged approach : oil areas are usually in the central part of the face. The nose, middle of the forehead and chin are often more oil areas. Avoid applying heavy creams in this area of the face. If the outer left and right side of the face has more dry skin, apply a deep moisturiser only to this area. Sensitive skin requires gentle ingredients and you should try out any new skin product on a patch of skin such as an elbow before applying elsewhere. Leave any new cream on the skin for 24 hours and wait to see if your skin develops any reaction before applying elsewhere.
Copaci has a wide range of skin creams and body lotions with different ingredients. Let’s start with the Camee range of creams, how they differ and help in different ways.
Each Camee Skin Cream is formulated to nourish the skin in different ways, in this way each one can solve particular skin problems.
